Never thought I’d be mentioning this on my blog. But God causes all things to work together for our good – to gain wisdom that our eyes be open that we may see. See as He desires so we may “be sober, be vigilant; because our adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour,” (1 Peter 5:8).

The words of a disturbing movie scene came to my mind last night out of nowhere with a powerful teaching from the Lord…

Many years ago when I was still an unbeliever, I watched a crime thriller called, The Silence of the Lambs, about a deranged serial killer who committed the most heinous crimes against women.

In order to dehumanize his victims as well as desensitize himself to them, Buffalo Bill (his nickname) would refer to them as “it,” distancing himself and hardening his heart to them and their feelings, making it easier for his already warped soul to carry out evil against them.

If you’ve ever seen the movie yourself, you may recall him saying to a woman, “Now, it places the lotion in the basket.” He refused to address her directly as the living and breathing women she was.

What does this have to do with our children and their identities?

Can you see it? Can you make the connection the Holy Spirit made with me when He reminded me of the scene in this movie?

How and why the devil is after our children’s identities?

Don’t think the Lord would use such a movie to teach me something?

The devil is not very creative but he’s ways are violent, and his goal is always our death, demise, and destruction.

He’s been recycling the same schemes for thousands of years:

• To get people to reject the truth of God’s Word for themselves through unbelief by twisting the Word just enough for it to create confusion.
• To get people to see Him as untrustworthy, unloving, and not truly for them.
• To get people to question the Father who loves them most and say, “Did God really say?”

The current identity ideoligies that have infiltrated schools from pre-K all the way through college as well as our culture and are from the pit of hell.

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force,” (Matthew 11:12).

Attacks on our identities as God created us are an outright violent assault on the Kingdom of God, His Word, and the perfection of His creation hell-bent on our annihilation with his main target – our childen.

Each generation is called to marry and fill the earth and subdue it for God in the name of Jesus. With children thinking they are the exact opposite of truth, they will never be fruitful and multiply according to the WILL OF GOD.

Less offspring means LESS laborers for the harvest of the lost. “Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few,” (Matthew 9:37). The assault on identy is intentionally far reaching. Attack on identity isn’t just about creating confusion. As I said before, the devil’s goal is total annihilation, and causing as many as possible to perish for eternity.

To me the Lord used the words of the Buffalo Bill character to represent satan’s attack on identity to paint a clear and serious picture of its level of evil. Be not naive to the real, aggressive, and violent assaults that have been and are being brought against the Kingdom of God. Instead, be wise lest we and our children fall victim.

Likewise, the devil and powers of darkness are using their assault on our children’s identities attempting to dehumanize them as image bearers of God.

To desensitize them and lead them to their death just as was Buffalo Bill’s intentions in the movie.

To make them fruitless and purposeless and bring the bloodlines of many families to an end. My heart ached at the writing of those words.

With boys and girls denying their true, created by God identities for satan’s lies, they are being robbed of “being fruitful and multiplying and filling the earth and subduing it.” Thus, God is also being robbed of new children not being able to be born to fulfill the purposes and plans He intended for them. Partners in Christ, part of the armies of the Living God to co-labor with Him.

As less children are being born, the world is being robbed of laborers for the harvest. Then there’s the 60+ millions lost to abortion, also caused by dehumanizing babies in the womb and people making themselves into gods who worship self.

Have mercy, Lord. Have mercy!

Father I prophesy Your Truth over our children:

Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Genesis 5:2 – He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.

Genesis 1:28 – Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.

By God’s design, he made male and female with distinct and identifiable parts both internally and externally.

To seal His truth, He literally labeled our very DNA.

XX = FEMALE

XY = MALE

Absolutely incredibel and undeniable!

Only a real male and female can produce offspring. Feelings are not facts. Feelings cannot be used to deny the obvious and become a protected civil rights class of individuals for the purposes of exploitation and oppression.

Let’s cry out for our children’s identities by:

• Praying and prophesying His Word over them
• Pleading the blood of Jesus over them and their bodies, spirits, and souls (mind, will, emotions).
• Standing in the gap for them and taking every thought captive that exalts itself against the Word of God and command it to obey Jesus, the Word.

In other words, nuch prayer and spiritual warfare.

We must teach them His truth of course even if that means pulling them from public schools and homeschooling them, throwing out TV’s, and guarding electronic devices, etc. to protect them from such vile wickedness. The Lord entrusted our children to us, and it is our resposibility to point them to Him and His truth and cover them in prayer continually.

Praise God He always preserves a remanant. Let’s keep sharing the truth and crying out to God.
