Jesus was grieved by the hardness of their hearts towards the sick (and still is today)

“And when He had looked around at them [the Pharisees] with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.”
~ Mark 3:5-6

“…to look upon disabled children bound in the mind by satan, God’s purpose for them held captive by the thief then refer to their captivity as a blessing is grievous. It’s an outright insult to Jesus who suffered agony to bear it all for these children.

It’s a tragic pharisaical hardening of one’s heart to see a special needs child and not be filled with the mercy and compassion of Jesus Christ that passionately desires they be totally set free. He is only for the opening of prison doors for those who are bound.

To call the chains of satan on a child’s mind a blessing is one of the greatest forms of deception the pit of hell has planted into the hearts of many in the church. That thief has successfully caused even His very own to deny the atonement and agree to redefine sickness into his lying, trapping terms.” – excerpt from very rough draft of my work in progress, The Infamously Prickly Thorn in Paul’s Flesh.

The Infamously Prickly Thorn in Paul’s Flesh (and How it Has Been Twisted to Exalt Itself Against the Word on Healing)

Much has already been written on Paul’s prickly thorn, but there are many out there who still wrongly believe it was a sickness God refused to heal him from. And if God can use me to set one person free from that false teaching causing unbelief for their healing, I will be blessed.

I’ve jotted down some notes from what I’ve studied over the years and am considering writing it as a short book.

Spoiler alert – it was NOT a sickness God refused to heal Paul from which exalts itself against the atonement of Jesus Christ.

But I also believe we are each given revelation on the Word meant to be shared, and then we each build on each other’s Spirit led revelation to strengthen the body’s faith, walk, and ability to pray for the sick and see them totally healed.

Writing down notes for a prayer book as well as a book for parents believing God for healing for their child from “all manner of sickness and disease.”
