Spread Joy on Purpose

Spread joy and laughter on purpose for it is such good medicine

“A merry heart does good, like medicine,” (Proverbs 17:22).

A tragic observation I’ve observed in the church is there’s not enough joy and laughter and lots of too much taking oneself too seriously. Maybe to some it’s somehow not seen as holy enough for God to chortle, snort, and cry with bellyaching laughter.

Personally, the Lord knows I could care less what other people think about me being who He made me to be – this includes pursing joy and laughter on purpose and spreading it to others. Some greatly appreciate it. Some adjust the pole up their behinds to doublecheck to see if their misery and stoic countenance are still in tact.

I feel sad for them. I love them. I pray for them, but I cannot relate to them.

Has my life been easy? Not at all, but I pursue the joy of the Lord, laughter, humor, laughing at myself, and spreading joy to others.

A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance

– Proverbs 15:13.

The Word says a merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, and I want to shine for Jesus, not bear a continual sourpuss face where Him and His love and nature are undetectable.

About that book cover above. It’s not a real book cover. It was a small gift of love and laughter I created to send to my best friend so we could have a good snorting laugh fest about the dangers of not reading labels.

Once upon a time, my BFF didn’t read the label on the Airborne package, completely missing that they were the effervescent type…

She proceeded to place the tablet into her mouth which became a face-flubbering, foam producing mess. LOL! And her retelling of it and imitation of herself and face and bug-eyes at the foam forming and coming out of her mouth had my face soaked with tears. So funny! So needed!

Fast forward to the other day. I bought my first can of cold coffee. I like my coffee hot even in Florida in the summer, but we were in a hurry, didn’t want to make an extra stop, so I figured it was a no better time to try of of those canned ones.

Well, I popped the top and began to drink it and said to my son, “Oh no! I should’ve shaken it some because it seems like the flavors need to be mixed together a bit.”

*My son laughs at me and points at the can*

“Mom, it says: do NOT shake.”

He was correct. It said it all around the rim. I was baffled as to why I couldn’t shake a non-carbonated can of coffee, then read on the front of the can that the foam is infused with NITROUS OXIDE gas. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Lord, who knew we had to read labels to avoid foam-faced flubbers and volcanic cans of coffee?

HUMOR: Christians Who “Love” President Trump’s Bright and Shiny Personality

“For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart,” (1 Samuel 16:7).

I still don’t get why Christians have had so much to say about President Trump’s personality and his delivery methods in conversation.

I. Think. He’s. Hilarious…..

…and how the Lord has His hand is upon President Trump is simply evidence that God’s Word is true:

The Lord doesn’t see as we see, He sees the heart.

And President Trump has a heart for America, the church, the unborn, preserving our freedoms, defending and protecting us as a nation, Israel, freeing us from unnecessary wars, protecting American jobs, making America Great Again in every way and on and on.

With spiritual eyes, I see the Lord needed a fighter for America for this season, and boy did He pick a good one.

I love when our President gives the mainstream media and the people who hate America, God’s people, the unborn, etc. a one-two punch here, an uppercut there.

I’d love to see how Christians who speak against him and his rough personality would handle the same people he has to deal with – the ones who falsely accused him for years with collusion and also went after his son with false accusations. Plus, he is FAR above in the know regarding internal corruption than anyone of us. He takes it personally. America is our home, and the wicked have raped and pillaged it for far too long.

He’s fighting mad, and I don’t blame him. I’d go David on them too if I were him. Wicked giants must fall. *uppercut. right hook. knock out*

Those Christians who think President Trump is rude, ask the Lord if He’d really use an imperfect vessel like him, and His answer would be. BEHOLD!…

Gosh, I just laughed too hard at my own joke. LOL!!!

Mirror. Mirror, on the wall who’s the most perfect of them all?

Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God and those IN Christ for their righteousness is Mine says the Lord.

I highly recommended reading the book, President Trump’s Pro-Christian Accomplishments. He has MANY pro-Christian accomplishments that should silence most Christians. He’s done more pro-Christian accomplishments than the many silent, let’s only play nice churches.

In the book, it reads, “April 12, 2011 – in an interview with David Brody of CBN, The Donald said: “I am a Christian.” Of course, only God knows the heart and true conversion.

But looking at the church, and all the bad I experienced at the hands of people who called themselves Christians, their fruit would cause me to question whether THEY truly know Him at all. But, I always leave the actual judgment of it to the Lord, of course.

And if President Trump is truly a born-again, imperfect like us, believer, then he’s our brother in Christ, and we should treat him as such.

The Words of Jesus…

“Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?” (Matthew 23:33).

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness,” (Matthew 23:27).

“But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men,” (Matthew 16:23).

And Paul…

…in Acts 23:3, “Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! For you sit to judge me according to the law, and do you command me to be struck contrary to the law?”

Let me try, Jesus…

Hey mainstream media false prophets, you can stick your lies where the sun don’t shine. You know. The pit of hell where they belong! *ba dum dum dum*

Lord, times are so heavy. The battles that abound are fierce. Remind us to laugh, including at ourselves. In the gentle way You do, help us remember how far from perfect we actually are as Your children but IN Christ, we are seen as perfect by You, simultaneously being perfected from glory to glory in Jesus’ name, amen.
