God Defines ALL Sickness as Captivity | Jesus Came to Set Captives Free

The enemy has deceived a great many in the church into redefining God’s Word into outright lies, leading them astray and into calling what is evil, good. This includes diseases, disorders, defects, and all manner of sickness.

The Word of God only defines sickness as oppression or captivity of the devil and a curse under the law, never as a blessing. See Acts 10:38, Luke 13:16, Deuteronomy 28.

In order for a child of God to call ANY sickness a blessing, they must do so by denying His Word, calling Him a liar, and are therefore embracing another gospel.

The state of many of God’s children is described in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

Tragically, many have embraced the evil’s ones redefinition of sickness, coming into agreement with him. Therefore, empowering his lies and authority over their health – body and soul, mind, will, and emotions. Even pulpits have been infected with these re-definitions about sickness, thus becoming mouthpieces for the enemy. Instead of being filled with Christ’s passion to set captives free and heal the sick, they become his prison guards, helping him hold many captive.

Listen to this blog post here.

When did we first see this happen? When was the first time in the Word that man embraced a false doctrine of satan, entered into unbelief, magnified the words of satan above God’s, chose to call their good Father a liar, and therefore empowered the evil one and his authority in their lives? With Adam and Eve. Read Genesis chapter 3.

The enemy knows the Word of God better than most of God’s people as well as how the spiritual laws and principals of God’s Holy Kingdom work. One such spiritual law is unbelief. Jesus teaches us through His Word that unbelief is choosing to reject Him, His Word, and will by one’s free will. This blocks the one exercising it from receiving Him and/or His promises for themselves. See Matthew 13:58. This is precisely why the evil one violently attacks the Word of God through twisted redefinitions. That people enter into unbelief and reject God’s promises for themselves.

The next time the father of lies comes roaring about trying to get you to embrace one of his false, evil doctrines and re-definitions regarding sickness and healing, you can say:

“For it is written in Acts 10:38, ‘God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.’

Jesus went about doing good and that good was healing all who were oppressed by the devil. Not God. The devil.

And in 1 John 3:8, ‘He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.’

Sickness entered the world through sin, and all sin is of the devil, and is a work of the devil Jesus came to destroy.

And in John 10:10, ‘The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.’

Sickness if of the devil, is a form of death, not life.

2 Corinthians 6:14-15, ‘For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what agreement has Christ with Belial?

Jesus has no agreement with the devil. The devil is in rebellion against God who doesn’t have any agreement with that evil one, and a it is written, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand,’ Matthew 12:25.

Anyone who says satan is God’s boxing glove is calling their heavenly Father a liar. The Word says Christ has no agreement with the devil. Let God be true and every many a liar.

We must return with all our hearts to the Word of God and to His definitions of things alone, so we may obey His mandate to heal the sick and set captives free.

“By Jesus’ stripes, we were healed,” 1 Peter 2:24. Jesus was whipped and afflicted with stripes as payment for our physical and soul healing.

It’s His will and passion to heal us because He already did at the whipping post and through the shedding of His powerful blood. Hallelujah!

Heal the Sick – The Secret to Making it Work | A Be Healed Teaching by Curry Blake

A teaching by brother Curry Blake of JGLM ministries. Sharing his Spirit-led teachings that rightly divide the Word of God on Jesus’ atonement (finished work) that body and soul healing was indeed included when our Lord said, “It in finished!” two thousand years ago.

This teaching is called Heal the Sick – THE Secret to Making it Work from the Be Healed Teaching series.

Some scriptures taught from:

  • Colossians 1:27
  • John 14
  • Romans 8
  • 2 Corinthians 2

Some notes:

Those like John G. Lake who were consistently co-labored with Christ to heal the sick “were FULLY persuaded that physical healing is included in the atonement.”

Brother Lake was “committed to overcome until God won!” I love this perspective because it causes us to point to Jesus and His victory and not look at ourselves. When we see it as obedience to our Heavenly Father, an assignment to glorify Him, this empowers us to not give up on HIM and to allow Him to work through us to destroy the works of the devil by healing the sick.

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory – Colossian 1:27.

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily – Colossian 1:29.

The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you – John 14:17.

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us – Romans 8:37.

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place – 2 Corinthians 2:14.

“I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people” – 2 Corinthians 6:16.

He has joined Himself together with us. We can’t be separated from Him, like the picture of marriage – 2 become 1.

What we have today after the Jesus’ whipping, death, burial and resurrection is like nothing anyone ever experienced before this. e.g. old testament saints.

This teaching comes from JGLM’s New Man series too which can be found on their site: https://www.jglm.org/

Faith and Patience Inherit the Promises | A Be Healed Teaching by Curry Blake

Brother Blake is with John G. Lake Ministries and shares blessed Spirit-led teachings regarding Jesus’ divine healing.

Glory to God, teachings that rightly divide the Word of God on His atonement (finished work)!

This teaching is based on Hebrews 6…

Hebrews 6:9-12

But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
