Faith, Healing

Resurrection Power lives inside of you, child of God

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. ~ Romans 8:11

Child of God, His Word is only true! Don’t reason your way out of the covenant rights purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ through unbelief or by magnifying what is seen over His Word.

Only believe. Take His Word by faith for your health and healing. For God to do in your body what man cannot.

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
~ Isaiah 53:4-5

Answered Prayer, Faith

When God confirms a word and your prayers for He is so good!

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.

~ Isaiah 48:17

Our Heavenly Father is so good, so Faithful and True. Last night I was messaging with a dear sister in the Lord, laughing at myself about my fumbled response to something I am certain the Lord spoke to my heart a couple months ago or so…

Approximately in mid June, I was praying out loud and walking in my backyard with my sweet dog (a precious gift from God to me), and I got a strong sense in my spirit by the Spirit to say to the Lord regarding a matter of provision and the work He wanted me to do and He would provide for me…

“I know You just want me to live by faith and trust you to provide to do this work for You and for Your glory. That it’s time for me to live by faith, to come up higher in my faith and trust that all will be well.”

I felt and knew it so strongly by the Lord.

It would be a great leap of faith for me to do what He was asking of me, but I have seen Him come through for me and my son time and time again without fail. His Word has never failed me. It was like a “to whom much is given, much is expected thing.” How could I doubt Him now after His Word had been proven true so many times in my life?

But then I did some reasoning (amongst myself) because I am a single mom and sole provider of my family, and decided that I should do a few other things in addition to what He asked me to do so hopefully money would come in from those sources too – for what He is asking of me is not typically a fast source of income.

What I found is all I did was exhaust myself trying to do smaller and hopefully faster ways of earning income then not having more time to do what He asked of me. I wasn’t trying to disobey His direction, but I just thought it was a good idea, the responsible thing to do.

I went back to my good Father in prayer, chuckling at myself, because I knew He’d been drawing me, and I knew what He wanted to mention. I said, “I know. I know, Lord. I tried to reason and do it my way in addtion to what you said. Sorry, Father. You REALLY meant it that I could live by faith and You would provide. I will ONLY do what You told me to do and REALLY trust that all will be well.”

Of course, total peace restored, and when I am doing the work He asked me to do, I am full of peace, joy, in His flow, the anointing is on it, I can focus really well, etc.

Well last night, a few hours after messaging with that above mentioned friend and laughing about how I had reasoned and fumbled His specific Word to me from June, I looked at my phone shortly after midnight and saw that Isaiah 48:17 was the verse of the day and laughed out loud, and said, “Oh thank You so much, Father, for comforting me with this confirmation of the Word You gave me, my prayers, my conversation with my dear friend, and for being hilarious!”

“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go,” (Isaiah 48:17).

First, when we have a THUS SAYS THE LORD, He means business!

Ha Ha, You’re so funny Abba Father. Thank You for Your patience with me when I am slow with the uptake. Great opening there, Lord!

It hit me like, “I’m the ONE and ONLY Redeemer, big R, the Holy One of Israel.”

I get it, Father, You’ve got it covered. I will ONLY BELIEVE!

I AM the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go

You couldn’t be more clear, Lord my God. How I praise You! Grace me abundantly to walk in it fearlessly, Father, to allow You alone to teach me to profit and You alone to lead me in the way I should go. Hallelujah!

To remember His goodness to me

The work of God: believe in Him

“Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

~ John 6:28-29

Because God has so much to say about our walk with Him being one of faith, I want to learn everything I can from Him about it by His Word and Spirit.

“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith,” (Romans 1:17).

When I read Romans 1:17, I see an image in my mind’s eye of a child of God who has chosen to live by faith stepping on a stone lined path – each stone representing a Rock solid promise of His Word, making his or her walk strong and sure with every step.

The path itself of course described in verses such as:

  • Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. – Psalm 119:105.
  • Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. – Matthew 7:13-14

So it’s a path paved by the light of His Word, and it’s a narrow path that must be found, leads to life, and is not an easy way to take.

Getting back to the introductory verses, John 6:28-29…

Jesus told the disciples, “The work of God,” is that they, “must believe in Him whom He sent,” in answer to their question, “What must we DO to work the works of God?”

Just prior to this question in John 6 verses 1 to 14, they’d witnessed Jesus using a lad’s five barley loaves and two small fish to supernaturally feed 5000. (I believe the lad exercised faith there as well by releasing it to Jesus).

Meaning, they wanted to know how they too could do the miracles of the Father that Jesus did.

Believe in Him.

As in take God for His Word by faith.

From His Word, we can see that taking Him for His Word means SO much to the heart of the Father

One reason I believe this is so is because the Father has declared to us that Jesus, His Son, IS the Word made flesh (John 1:1; 14), so when we don’t believe His Word/don’t take Him for His Word, we are not believing in Him.

If we are not believing in Him, then we can’t “do” the work of God. It’s a from faith to faith, by faith walk with the Father.

This is completely separate from salvation of course. This is regarding living by faith, walking by faith and not by sight, walking by His promises and not by sight knowing that what He promised, He is able to perform (Romans 4) and allowing His Word to be the solid foundation that it is to carry us through life.

I love how just two verses in the Word, like John 6:28-29, can have such a massive impact on my faith and how He can turn even a couple words – ONLY BELIEVE – it into a powerful message for me (and others) to encourage and help us live by faith more and more.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is [the GREAT I AM], and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him,” (Hebrews 11:6).

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God,” (Romans 10:17).
