Christ the Lord redeemed us from the curse of the law to make us sons and daughters

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. ~ Galatians 4:4-5

It’s GOOD NEWS indeed that we are no longer under the curse of the law for Jesus became a curse FOR us, “performing” all things perfectly, so that we may be righteous in Him. (May because we can either accept Jesus as Lord and Savior or reject Him as Lord and Savior by our own free will).

2 Corinthians 3:4-10

The Spirit, Not the Letter

And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, NOT of the letter [of the law] but of the Spirit; for the letter [of the law] kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Glory of the New Covenant

But if the ministry of death [the law], written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?

For if the ministry of condemnation [the law] had glory, the ministry of righteousness [in Christ] exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious [the law] had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.

The Lord tells us the law was glorious, BUT in comparison to what Jesus accomplished FOR us through His death and resurrection under this NEW and BETTER covenant (Hebrews 8:6), the law doesn’t even come close to what we may now partake of in Christ!

To try and compare ourselves to those living under the law is such an insult to our Lord Jesus Christ who paid for all our sins – past, present, and future – as well as bore and took ALL our sickness and disease.

We are no longer partakers of the “ministry of death” but of the Spirit and righteousness in Christ.

We are…

Joint-heirs with Jesus Christ!

Sons and daughters of the King!

A royal priesthood!

The Temple of the Most High God!

Seated in heavenly places with authority over ALL the power of the enemy!

Saved, sanctified, healed, and delivered! Hallelujah!

Galatians 3:13

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse FOR us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”).

Psalm 107:2

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.”

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving us in every way. For becoming our Most Holy Ransom. You are worthy to receive all blessing and glory and honor and power and praise, forever and ever, amen!

Faith, Jesus

For Thine is the Kingdom!

“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.” ~ Psalm 45:6

“O dead churches, wake up! O Christ, descend! Scarred head, take your crown! Bruised hands, take Your scepter! Wounded feet, take Your throne! “For Thine is the kingdom” (Matthew 6:13).” ~ Thomas DeWitt Talmage (1832-1902)

As joint heirs with Jesus Christ, we can wield a sceptor of righteousness in His name to destroy the works of the devil in our lives, cities, and nations.

“You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,”
(Psalm 8:6).

BAM! So powerful that God in His sovereignty chose to give US dominion [sovereignty, governance, control, ruling authority] over the works of His hands as well as put ALL things under our feet. Thus making US responsible to co-labor with Him in faith to see the changes we long for come to pass.

We are not called to be passive!

We are believers NOT beggars!

Ours is an active partnership with God the Father through Jesus Christ that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

The church needs to wake up, open up their mouths, and speak His Word into our lives and everything concerning it. We need “tell it like it is” children of God BOLDLY exposing evil and calling things as God sees them without concern of who’ll be offended for ignorance of our inheritance in Christ and HIS truth are causing many to perish!

Like he said above: Churches, WAKE UP!

Haste makes waste: Speak the Word of God instead

For I said in my haste,
“I am cut off from before Your eyes”;
Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications
When I cried out to You.

~ Psalm 31:22

Without the Word of God deeply rooted in a heart, one can get their eyes on the natural, on what is seen, instead of God and the truth of His “yes and amen” promises.

The result? Much time and energy wasted doubting God, possibly even affecting one’s health with unnecessary stress. Maybe even lots of words spoken that exalt themselves against His Word causing self-sabotage, running about trying to solve what one cannot in their own strength, and taking on things that only add to their trouble. This is not His will for His children.

I’ve spoken with many precious sisters in Christ who spend a significant amount of time fretting, fearing, and speaking in haste, spewing death and destruction over their circumstances with their mouths and with that empowering and agreeing with the works of the devil in their lives. They are unable to see how much they magnify the evil one over God, His Word, and power.

Truth: “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you,” (Matthew 17:20).

One can only counsel someone so much. Ultimately, our relationship with God, His Word, and living a life led by the Spirit is our responsibility.

Job also spoke much in haste. Why? Because in his time (before Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, etc.), he had very little revelation of God and His character.

Then, nearing the end of the book of Job, the Lord says to him, “Who is this who darkens counsel by words WITHOUT knowledge?” (Job 38:2) Yet, many believers quote much of what Job spoke in haste according to God’s standards and create entire incorrect doctrines out of it.

In Job 42:3, Job agreed with the Lord and said, “You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand.”

There’s no need for any new covenant child of God in Christ to speak in haste. No, with the full cousnel of God available to us, we can boldly speak words of victory and faith, knowing that we know His Word is true and cannot fail those who trust in them.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for becoming our Mediator of a new covenant with new and better promises!
