The enemy has deceived a great many in the church into redefining God’s Word into outright lies, leading them astray and into calling what is evil, good. This includes diseases, disorders, defects, and all manner of sickness.

The Word of God only defines sickness as oppression or captivity of the devil and a curse under the law, never as a blessing. See Acts 10:38, Luke 13:16, Deuteronomy 28.

In order for a child of God to call ANY sickness a blessing, they must do so by denying His Word, calling Him a liar, and are therefore embracing another gospel.

The state of many of God’s children is described in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

Tragically, many have embraced the evil’s ones redefinition of sickness, coming into agreement with him. Therefore, empowering his lies and authority over their health – body and soul, mind, will, and emotions. Even pulpits have been infected with these re-definitions about sickness, thus becoming mouthpieces for the enemy. Instead of being filled with Christ’s passion to set captives free and heal the sick, they become his prison guards, helping him hold many captive.

When did we first see this happen? When was the first time in the Word that man embraced a false doctrine of satan, entered into unbelief, magnified the words of satan above God’s, chose to call their good Father a liar, and therefore empowered the evil one and his authority in their lives? With Adam and Eve. Read Genesis chapter 3.

The enemy knows the Word of God better than most of God’s people as well as how the spiritual laws and principals of God’s Holy Kingdom work. One such spiritual law is unbelief. Jesus teaches us through His Word that unbelief is choosing to reject Him, His Word, and will by one’s free will. This blocks the one exercising it from receiving Him and/or His promises for themselves. See Matthew 13:58. This is precisely why the evil one violently attacks the Word of God through twisted redefinitions. That people enter into unbelief and reject God’s promises for themselves.

The next time the father of lies comes roaring about trying to get you to embrace one of his false, evil doctrines and re-definitions regarding sickness and healing, you can say:

“For it is written in Acts 10:38, ‘God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.’

Jesus went about doing good and that good was healing all who were oppressed by the devil. Not God. The devil.

And in 1 John 3:8, ‘He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.’

Sickness entered the world through sin, and all sin is of the devil, and is a work of the devil Jesus came to destroy.

And in John 10:10, ‘The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.’

Sickness if of the devil, is a form of death, not life.

2 Corinthians 6:14-15, ‘For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what agreement has Christ with Belial?‘

Jesus has no agreement with the devil. The devil is in rebellion against God who doesn’t have any agreement with that evil one, and a it is written, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand,’ Matthew 12:25.

Anyone who says satan is God’s boxing glove is calling their heavenly Father a liar. The Word says Christ has no agreement with the devil. Let God be true and every many a liar.

We must return with all our hearts to the Word of God and to His definitions of things alone, so we may obey His mandate to heal the sick and set captives free.

“By Jesus’ stripes, we were healed,” 1 Peter 2:24. Jesus was whipped and afflicted with stripes as payment for our physical and soul healing.

It’s His will and passion to heal us because He already did at the whipping post and through the shedding of His powerful blood. Hallelujah!
