Christ the Lord redeemed us from the curse of the law to make us sons and daughters

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. ~ Galatians 4:4-5

It’s GOOD NEWS indeed that we are no longer under the curse of the law for Jesus became a curse FOR us, “performing” all things perfectly, so that we may be righteous in Him. (May because we can either accept Jesus as Lord and Savior or reject Him as Lord and Savior by our own free will).

2 Corinthians 3:4-10

The Spirit, Not the Letter

And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, NOT of the letter [of the law] but of the Spirit; for the letter [of the law] kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Glory of the New Covenant

But if the ministry of death [the law], written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?

For if the ministry of condemnation [the law] had glory, the ministry of righteousness [in Christ] exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious [the law] had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.

The Lord tells us the law was glorious, BUT in comparison to what Jesus accomplished FOR us through His death and resurrection under this NEW and BETTER covenant (Hebrews 8:6), the law doesn’t even come close to what we may now partake of in Christ!

To try and compare ourselves to those living under the law is such an insult to our Lord Jesus Christ who paid for all our sins – past, present, and future – as well as bore and took ALL our sickness and disease.

We are no longer partakers of the “ministry of death” but of the Spirit and righteousness in Christ.

We are…

Joint-heirs with Jesus Christ!

Sons and daughters of the King!

A royal priesthood!

The Temple of the Most High God!

Seated in heavenly places with authority over ALL the power of the enemy!

Saved, sanctified, healed, and delivered! Hallelujah!

Galatians 3:13

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse FOR us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”).

Psalm 107:2

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.”

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving us in every way. For becoming our Most Holy Ransom. You are worthy to receive all blessing and glory and honor and power and praise, forever and ever, amen!
