The Secret Place with God

For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.

~ Psalm 27:5

We may see trouble all around. But God! When we trust in the Lord and His Word, He SHALL hide us in His secret place.

Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men!
You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence
From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion
From the strife of tongues.

~ Psalm 31:19-20

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

~ Psalm 91:1-2

The Word teaches us how we may dwell in His secret place: by trusting in Him completely. By living from faith to faith in His Word and magnifying Him and His Word alone as our secret place, refuge, fortress, and hiding place.

We must NEVER empower and magnify the works of the devil around us as we see so many believers doing today who use their mouths to prophecy his destructions more than God’s Might and Power, more than the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

What does God say about what many of His children do in ignorance?

A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth [his words];
From the produce of his lips
[words] he shall be filled.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue [words],
And those who love it will eat its fruit.

~ Proverbs 18:20-21

and

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

~ Hosea 4:6

We’ve been warned by our good Father regarding the importance of our words. Therefore, we must speak the life and power of His Word in every circumstance and magnify His greatness and power, His goodness, mercy, and love, including trusting in His power and ability to hide us in His secret place in times of trouble.

And because His Word is a weapon against the powers of darkness (Eph. 6), when we speak it instead of empowering the devil’s evils with our mouths, we wield the Word against to works of the devil to destroy them.

We can magnify Him as our hiding place and shield too!

You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah ~ Psalm 32:7

You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your Word. ~ Psalm 119:114

Father, thank You that Your Word is ONLY true and is where we can place all our faith, hope and trust. We can possess Your promises by our faith and trust in You. Hallelujah!
