“And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God,” (Luke 13:11-13).

Two-thousand years after the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His establishment of a new and better covenant based on new and better promises, the devil is still using the same demonic spirits who influenced the Pharisees to use church leaders and our brothers and sisters in Christ to attack and speak against healing and deliverance from sickness and spirits of infirmity. And to deny the power of the Holy Spirit.

It continues to boggle my mind to hear how many would rather preach the captivity of satan to sickness rather than the One who came to heal us. The One who is named Healer, Redeemer, Deliverer, Resurrection, and Life. The One who gave body to be broken, striped, and put to death then raised again to redeem us from sin and all its effects (the curse of the law), including physical and spiritual sicknesses.

Recently, I heard another church leader preaching in favor of the devil’s sicknesses. He mockingly said something sarcastic about “Oh and those Christians who think they ‘DESERVE’ healing.” I turned it off of course because I am for those who preach and cherish everything Jesus paid for His children to have under a far superior covenant than the old covenant. For those who cherish the power of His name and blood.

I brought the idea before the Lord, and He said, “Jesus purchased your ‘deserve’ for healing.”

Of course, literally NO ONE, in their own righteousness deserves anything from the Lord, but glory to God, when we were born again, we IMMEDIATELY spiritually became a PART OF Christ’s very body and IMMEDIATELY indwelt by His Holy Spirit.

In Him, we are the very righteousness of God! The VERY righteousness of God, clothed in Christ’s perfection, forever, without end, no matter what we do or don’t do. We are SEALED by His blood in a permanent covenant relationship with Him.

So based on our perfect right standing with God the Father IN Jesus Christ, we can say we DESERVE healing because He purchased the deserve for us.

This truth is simply recognition of my covenant rights in Christ Jesus. What His blood bought for me. Glory to the Lamb of God! Glory to my Abba Father who freely have His Son for me and will freely give me all good things.

Check out the outragoeusly bold prayers and declarations of David when he was up against Goliath and king Abijah when he was up against king Jeroboam.

These are two men who boldy declared victory over their enemies before God and Israel BEFORE their battles even began.

Why? Because they had covenant grounds to do so.

This is exactly why EVERY child of God can by faith declare victory over all sickness and disease and every work of the devil coming against their bodies! And expect total healing. We have the covenant grounds to do so. By Jesus’ stripes, we were healed. He sent His Word, Jesus, and healed us and delivered us from our destructions and on and on.

Did you recall that the old covenant law is called the ministry of death and condemnation? And that the new covenant is called the ministry of righteousness?

“But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious,” (2 Cor 3:7-11).

I suggest reading all of 2 Corinthians 3. It’s excellent and lifegiving and sets free! Though the old covenant was considered glorious, the new covenant exceeds MUCH MORE in glory!

Child of God, we are no longer under the ministry of death and condemnation but under the new covenant ministry of righteousness paid for in full by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, full of new and better promises AND authority over ALL the power of the enemy.

Do not allow anyone to preach sickness to you as a blessing! All sickness is a work of the devil. God is not for the works of the devil or anything that was birthed into the earth because of sin. The devil is a liar!

Sickness is satanic captivity. Jesus came to set the captives free. (Acts 10:38) Hallelujah!

“But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises,” (Hebrews 8:6).

“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil,” (1 John 3:8).
