You or a loved one receive a bad doctor’s report?

Now is the time to make a choice: Believe the Lord’s report? Or exalt the bad doctor’s report above the Word of the Lord?

In Numbers 13-14, God wants us to use His Word as instruction to learn about two types of people.

1. One who believes the Lord’s report no matter what he/she sees and acts on His Word by faith confident he/she will have victory over their enemies (sickness is an enemy).
2. One who walks by what is seen and exalts the world’s bad reports above the Lord’s promises, faithfulness, covenant, and revealed will to him or her.

Whom would you rather God say YOU are like?

A PROMISE AND REVEALED WILL OF GOD: “And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader among them,’” (Numbers 13:1-2).

The promise and revealed will: God IS GIVING the children of Israel the land of Canaan – enough said because of who said it – Almighty God!

A LOOK AT TWO TYPES OF PEOPLE GOD WANTS US TO SEE IN NUMBERS: FAITH VS. UNBELIEF [my emphasis in brackets]:

“Now they [the spies from amongst the children of Israel] departed and came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 

Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. [RUH OH! Magnifying what was seen above a promise of God, dangerously close to turning into unbelief (rejecting God’s will for oneself)].

The Amalekites [giants] dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.”

Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” [Now, we have Caleb who received a word from the Lord with gladness and was assured of victory based on a promise and revealed will of God. He has everything he needed to “go up AT ONCE and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” Why? Because God said so. Victory assured in his eyes, including over giants.”]

But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight,” (Numbers 13:26-33). [These bad report exalting spies crossed over into full unbelief, rejecting the will of God for themselves and poisoned the faith of others as well.]

You can be like Caleb who took God for His Word and he and Joshua and their descendants entered into the land. Or…

…you can be like the spies who created their own false doctrine based on what was seen instead of a promise of God. They rejected God’s will for themselves and did not enter the land.

So, you’v received a bad doctor’s report?

Make a choice now to stand up and fight an possess what God has already given you through this promise in 1 Peter 2:24, “By Jesus’ stripes, you were healed.” And don’t allow any of those bad report spy types into your prayer circle for they will poison your faith, attempting to get you to deny the this powrful promise of God He has also ALREADY given you for Jesus finished His work 2000 years ago.

Or if you’re standing in the gap for a loved one’s healing, be sure to stand up and fight for them and possess their healing paid for in full by Jesus by faith because of grace alone. The enemy is the one who resists healing not God. He’s ALREADY healed us 2000 years ago, but like the children of Israel, we must possess what is already ours.

Yes, there may be “giants in the land of your body or the body of a loved one,” but God has already said, “By My Son, Jesus’ stripes, you WERE healed.” Use the Word as a weapon and defeat every last giant in your or their body.

His Kingdom runs on faith, lest anyone boast. Glory to Him alone.
