Counting on the wealthy, comfortable, and those prospering in their wicked ways to repent? 2 Chronicles 22

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God,” (Matthew 19:23-25).

We of course don’t create and entire manmade doctrine based on Matthew 19:23-35 that all rich men and women will never enter the kingdom of God but that Jesus Himself says it’s hard for them to.

The words of Jesus, “But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation,” (Luke 6:24).

Last night I read 2 Chronicles 22, and the Lord always speaks to me or teaches me and shows me something as I read the Word, often related to the times and seasons or something in my life. This time, He reminded me of the level of the wickedness of people today.

In the times of Noah the Lord had this to say in Genesis 6:5, “Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Dear Lord, EVERY. ONLY EVIL CONTINUALLY.

Then in Matthew 24:37, “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” We are in this season.

That’s why, yes, I pray for our leaders to repent, but I am not gambling our children and our children’s children on them doing so.

That would be beyond foolish. No, I’m allowing the Holy Spirit to lead my prayers regarding the wicked in power, and my urgency in prayer lies in protection and deliverance from them and for GREAT justice to come to them.

I believe we are in the last of the last days, but for the Lord, that could mean another decade or two even more. I don’t know. For hundreds of years at least, men and women have believed that Christ would catch them up in the clouds.

This is why we must always occupy until He comes. Not assume His coming is tomorrow, but share His gospel truth as if it is at the same time. AND expose evil, speak His truth, pray for and do justice in the earth using the laws the Lord saw fit to bless us with the constitution that gives us the right to demand the constitution be followed through our states – each intended to be like smaller sovereign nations UNITED or in Union to form a larger country. Absolutely incredible. The genius of it could have only been inspired by God.

See the great blessing in that being of the Lord and don’t take it for granted God’s people. No Christian schools, you don’t bow to laws that say boys get to shower in the girls’ locker room with your daughters and hijack their sports teams just because they say they are “female.” You absolutely disobey those laws, unite, and fight back using the blessed laws of the constitution. It’s the Federal government who is in rebellion by forsaking the law of the land – the constitution – and is trying to deny us freedom of religion.

If any Christian can’t see how the Lord went before us with the constitution of the United States to make a way for us to preach the gospel within and from our shores and fight for our right to do so, then you’re still asleep, and we are praying for you. Wow, a constitution which was birthed through the prayer and fasting of our founding American families, many who were also saints in Christ.

But, I praise God, He always keeps a remnant who will not bow to Baal. Thank You, Father.

I like to talk and think aloud with the Lord as I read His Word and write notes. This time I recorded it. Thinking aloud and talking with the Lord as I read 2 Chron 22.

I think I’ll entitle it: “WATCH OUT for Grandma Athaliah, comfortable in her wealth, position, and lust for power.”

(It’s a little rambly and unedited – LOL – and Jesus help me with those name pronunciations).

  1. I am with you. I appreciate your recording. Thank you for tackling that. I imagine it was intimidating. So thank you. It is nice to hear the voice of the one who writes. Blessings my Friend.

    1. Heartbreaking times with people given over to evil by rejecting Christ. We must be so wise by the Spirit. God’s people are perishing for lack of knowledge. Crying out for justice every day. The injustice for so long has been oppressive. Lord, believing for Psalm 37 justice. You’re welcome. God bless you.

      1. Same. I too have been praying for justice, for the unlawful’s sins to come down upon them with unbearable weight giving them a place to repent. If they do not face their sins they will die with no hope of redemption. As evil has they are I still desire repentance and salvation for them. I am not confident though, it may be many of them have reached the place of Pharaoh. Only the Father knows. My soul is ill at the state of Churches at large – steeped in carnality and ignorant of Scripture and seemingly no will to repent either. As you said perishing.
Again thank you for your faithfulness.
