“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”
2 CHRONICLES 16:9
I adore this verse and the picture it paints of our good Father. God is always actively looking upon the hearts of man for those who are utterly surrendered to Him so He can use them to the fullest for His glory.
“Will it be you?” the Lord says.
Earlier today, I read, this post, DID YOU KNOW CHRISTMAS WAS A WEAPON? by Mario Murillo. Very worth the read. It’s not only about Christmas as spiritual warfare but an exhortation for His writers.
In it Murillo reminds us of the powerful story, A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, and he speaks powerful words that His writers can take to heart:
“Because God came upon a famous novelist like Charles Dickens, the devil was blindsided. What if you are supposed to create something no one has seen before?
Finally, the idea that we need to tone anything down to win souls is hogwash. Johnny Cash comes to mind. It is truly amazing the influence he carried. Bob Dylan, Elvis, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones revered him. Yet, he never muted his faith or his witness. God gave him a sound the world couldn’t resist.
A heart filled with love for God and hatred for evil, who is willing to be completely open to do something new is our greatest need today. God is searching to drop original miracles on someone like you.”
Similarly, the Holy Spirit led me to write this in a recent blog post: “The world doesn’t need easy, palatable, all inclusive messages. They need His power – the absolute non-watered down truth of His Word, words of fire from the Holy Spirit that are life, living water, etc. to them.
That these words BYPASS the mind and pierce hearts and spirits, so we do not write for the intellect but for souls, the spirit man, and hearts. Thus, we don’t write for what is natural (AKA temporal) but for what is eternal.”
The Lord needs vessels who are willing to be used for His glory to share His undiluted, powerful truth and fire through their fingertips.
Will you answer, “yes,” to His call?
“Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it,” (Habakkuk 2:2).
People will run in obedience to the Lord, towards their healing, towards Jesus, etc. at the reading of the Spirit-led words and stories He desires to give His “whosever wills.”
“My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer,” (Psalm 45:1).
Is your pen at the ready for the Lord? Praise God for He is ready to pour miraculous works and irresistible words into ready writers and their pens and keyboards. All glory to the Lamb of God!
