My heart was hurt for the Lord reading these words the other day on Mario Murillo’s blog, “Some prophets who prophesied Trump’s victory are now repenting and saying that they were wrong. Still others who prophesied Trump’s victory, then recanted and now are recanting their recant.” He’d entrusted these words to many prophets yet some weren’t able to carry the word without wavering in faith the way His Word instructs.
Then Murillo goes on to say, “No wonder a fog has fallen on the minds of millions of Christians who have no idea what to believe and do about this election.”
But this doesn’t have to be so in any Holy Spirit dependent believer. We must keep in mind that just because the Lord gives someone who has the gift or office of prophet a word doesn’t mean he or she has worked with the Lord on his or her faith enough to carry it without wavering or matured enough to not cave at the attacking words of man.
Growing faith takes effort and responsibility on the part of each believer. It’s not all on God for He won’t force us to walk by His Word.
Look at how the Lord, over and over, shows us it takes action on our part to have an intimate, Spirit dependent relationship with Him where we can hear from Him and walk and live by faith and not by sight…
- “For we walk by faith, not by sight,” (2 Corinthians 5:7).
- “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you,” (Matthew 6:33).
- “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God,” (Romans 10:17).
- “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know,” (Jeremiah 33:3).
- “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter,” (Proverbs 25:2).
- ‘”Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24).
Filled with action verbs: walk, seek, hear, call, search, help.
Read 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 for a beautiful picture of mature, Spirit dependent believers who hear and know the wisdom and mysteries from the Lord. The Lord desires this to be the norm for all His children.
In 1 Kings 18, the Lord paints the perfect instructions for prophets and those who receive words from Him (and test them by the Spirit) on what to do next with those words so they come to pass victoriously.
Which I wrote about by the Spirit – all glory to God – and subsequently recorded as a video here:
One beautiful and incredible thing the Lord showed me after I wrote out and recorded those words just above (links) was this:
In 1 Kings 18:42, Elijah bows down AND puts his face between his knees.
He not only bowed down as an act of humility but he put his face between his knees to hide his eyes and muffle his ears, so his only focus as he prayed was the word of the Lord, “It’s going to rain.” This. Is. Powerful. Thank You, Lord!
After Elijah prayed, seven times, his servant returned and said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” (1 Kings 18:44). This tells us there wasn’t a cloud in the sky to give Elijah any encouragement or signs to believe it would actually rain. Wow, Lord! Amazing revelation.
For we walk by faith, by what the Lord says, not by sight. Or we could even say it this way with a promise of God in the Word or with a prophetic word:
- For we walk by a YES and AMEN promise of God and not by sight.
- For we walk by a (tested by the Holy Spirit) prophetic word and not by sight.
Seven times! Imagine how many of God’s children would have given up praying halfway through and delayed or forfeited the promise of God altogether!
God had spoken to Elijah, that was enough for him to not give up praying until he saw the promise manifest, and it should be more than enough for us today.
But we make an important note and learn this from Elijah:
He guarded his faith and heart. He guarded the treasured prophetic and promise of God – that it would rain, the drought would end – by going to an isolated place, shutting out all voices, even shutting out the weather itself to the best of his ability.
Thus, he could stay in a posture of faith. He didn’t want to see that there were YET no clouds nor did he want to hear the lack of the sound of rain UNTIL he knew he’d prayed all the way to victory.
Today, we are inundated with a demon-possessed news media who is gaslighting, programming, and spewing venom onto the American people, even Christians, and much of the world. They hissssssssssssss like snakes, “Voter fraud? What voter fraud and corruption? We don’t see any of that. You didn’t just see them caught on camera pulling suitcases of ballots from under that table that appeared from nowhere after the voting stopped for no good reason and all the GOP republicans were kicked out for hours. Nothing to see here good little obedient unquestioning sheeple.”
But despite this inundation, we can follow Elijah’s wise advice I’ll call it. Guard your hearts, ear-gates, and eye-gates, so your faith is guarded. Turn off the lying media. Tune out the unbelieving believers who’ve fallen victim to fearing mere giants in the land and the bad reports of spies.
God is NOT schizophrenic! Has the Lord not spoken?
Then that’s enough for us. Let’s continue to carry the “Trump reelection/2nd term prophecies” in faith, in prayer, all the way for President Trump’s victory, a victory for America and the church and even the nations. A victory over the spirit of anti-Christ.
Also believing Him for justice across this land for all voter fraud and longtime corruption in every level of government and the corporations who fund it.
God’s will is to destroy the works of the devil: Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven for all voter fraud and corruption in the land, Lord, and brought to justice in the name of Jesus!
And SHUT UP devil in the name of Jesus!!! Getting into agreement with the Word of God or a prophetic word of God and boldly praying and prophesying His will into the earth is NOT commanding God or wanting our way.
This is to be seen as an exhortation. Not condemnation.
I’d say to these wavering prophets. God loves you very much. No matter what. But He desires that You stand firm in your faith as His representative in the earth, so the enemy can’t be given place in the church and attack His with unbelief, deception, and utter confusion. This is not His will for you or His entire church body.
The body needs to help each other and encourage each other’s faith, and in this case, the next time a prophet receives a word from the Lord, hopefully he/she won’t waver through unbelief or allow the mere words of man, “false prophet,” to cause them to waver and doubt the Lord. Or in a sense, deny Him like Peter did at the first sign of the pressures and scoffing of man.
Ask the Lord for help with any unbelief. He always answers this cry for help. Consider not the deadness of any situation that’s up against a promise of God. Only believe. Well, and guard your faith from the arrows that seek to destroy it in this world, even within the church.
